Think of this as a First Aid & Water Safety Pool Party!

Focusing on people in and around the water. Whether you are at your backyard pool, on the boat, having a picnic by the river or lake, The First Aid Training Guy has the knowledge to provide you the skills in how to respond if someone is in trouble in the water.

This presentation and training is non-accredited. However, the basic water safety learnt will enable the attendees a better response in emergencies around the water with family and friends.

Topics can include:

+How to recognise someone drowning
+How to respond to the different troubled swimmers
+What can we use around us to save someone drowning
+Steps to take when we have them on dry land (DRSABCD)
+Ways to prevent someone from drowning

Accredited Course
If you are an organisation or community group that is performing tasks around water and you want to upskill your colleagues on what to do in the event someone is in trouble, but do not want them to sit the full lifeguard course, the below might be useful. These are taken from the Pool Lifeguard Skillset.

 Accredited courses can include:

• SISCAQU019 Supervise patron safety in aquatic locations*
• SISCAQU020 Perform water rescues*
• SISCAQU021 Perform complex water rescues*
• SISCAQU022 Provide oxygen resuscitation and therapy in an aquatic environment
